Tungudalsvöllur is a 9 hole course and is located in a fascinating environment, which is the hiking-paradise Ísfirðinga. The main course is slightly short but very challenging in a diverse landscape and demands precision. Another 6-hole beginner course is beyond Tunguár. Ísafjörður is the most populated town in the west fjords and it is surrounded by great big mountains on three sides. On Ísafirði you can find the greatest harbor in Iceland, if you take in count the nature around the area. In the last centuries Ísafjörður has been one of the biggest trade towns in the country, the proximity to rich fishing grounds provided sufficient employment opportunities. Ísafjörður has long been known for its lively culture life.
